Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

With summer vacations beginning in schools and colleges, a surge of passengers travelling to native places and tourist destinations has led to overcrowded ST buses and trains. Despite the scorching heat, travelling in MSRTC’s red buses during peak afternoon hours feels like stepping into a furnace, yet the rush remains unabated.

The city temperature has soared to 43°C, with intense heat prevailing across the state. On Tuesday, heavy crowds were witnessed at the Central Bus Stand, where passengers queued up under the sun and rushed to secure seats as buses arrived. Buses to Pune, Nashik, Jalgaon, and Dhule are running full. A similar situation prevails at the railway station, with platforms packed during train arrivals.

Reservations on waiting list

Except for the Mumbai-bound Vande Bharat Express, reservations on most trains have gone into waiting. Trains towards Hyderabad and Nanded are also fully booked.
