Aurangabad, April 16:

The health teams of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today has detected 55 persons as Covid-19 positives during the special testing drives conducted at separate places in the city.

40 Covid-19 patients detected at six PoEs

The AMC has tested visitors entering the city limits through six points of the entrance (PoE) today. The health teams tested 380 persons and found 10 infected patients at Chikalthana PoE; tested 133 and detected 14 at Harsul T Point PoE, tested 187 and found nine Covid-19 positives at Kanchanwadi PoE, tested 265 and detected four at Octroi Naka PoE, tested 222 and detected one at Daulatabad T-Point PoE, and two were detected by testing 144 at Jhalta Phata PoE.

Two Coronavirus infected found in government offices

The testing of visitors was held at six government offices. The team has detected one Covid-19 patient each by conducting antigen tests of 24 visitors at the police commissioner's office and the High Court. The tests on visitors at the AMC headquarter, RTO office, district collectorate and divisional commissioner's office were also done but no infected person was detected today.

13 passengers detected as Covid-19 patients

Three air and 10 train passengers, who had arrived in the city on Thursday, have been reported as Covid-19 positive today. As reported earlier, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health teams had conducted RT-PCR tests on 80 passengers arriving at the railway station by trains and 25 passengers arriving at Chikalthana airport by planes on April 15. The AMC received the RT-PCR reports of these passengers today. Meanwhile, the AMC health teams have conducted RT-PCR tests of 102 train passengers arriving at the railway station and 20 tests on air passengers at the Chikalthana airport today (on April 16). The administration will receive their reports by tomorrow.
