Action warned against employees participating in strike
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar
State government officers and employees have been on strike since April 21 over various demands, affecting daily functioning in government offices. In this backdrop, the government has warned of disciplinary action against officials and employees participating in the strike.
The government is collecting daily reports from heads of departments regarding employees involved in the strike. As the agitation intensifies, a directive has been issued to all government offices stating that participation in the strike will be treated as misconduct, and disciplinary action will be taken against those involved. Department heads have been instructed not to leave headquarters during the strike period and not to grant leave to any officer or employee. Even those already on leave have been directed to report back to duty immediately.
The government has also ordered that employees participating in the strike be informed of the ‘no work, no pay’ policy. Regional offices of the Water Resources Department have been instructed to submit daily reports on striking employees to senior offices.
Godavari Corporation employees stay away from strike
Officials and employees of the Godavari Marathwada Irrigation Office and the Chief Engineer, Water Resources Department, have decided not to participate in the strike. Over the past three days, all officers and staff continued with their routine duties. However, sources said that around 140 employees from other offices under the Godavari Corporation participated in the strike over the last two days.
