AH diploma-holders demand justice

Aurangabad, July 19:

A delegation of Pashu Sevak Sanghatna today submitted a memorandum to the Zilla Parishad's vice president and chairman (Animal Husbandry committee) L G Gaikwad and drew his attention towards the long-pending demands including filling of posts through a recruitment drive.

They underlined that they had completed two years Diploma in Animal Husbandry. Hence they should be permitted to practice as veterinarians and demanded to lift the restrictions imposed upon them. The delegation submitted various demands including granting of zero percent interest loans up to Rs 20 lakh for the diary business; scrapping of the Indian Veterinary Council Act 1984; filling up of posts through recruitment as the government had launched the recruitment drive thrice since 2015, but had not filled any posts; shifting of the veterinary hospital from Category II to I, etc.

Gaikwad assured the delegation of taking up their demands.

The memorandum was duly signed by organisation's Udhav Kale, Sunil Sumb, Nitin Tagad, Dnyaneshwar Kalvane, and others. Zilla Parishad's member Madhukar Walture, additional chief executive officer (CEO) Santosh Kawade, District Animal Husbandry Officer Surekha Mane, and others were present on the occasion.
