The members also saw the replica of Ashwarud (horse-mounted) statue on occasion. The height of the pedestal is 31 feet, and the height of the statue is 21 feet (total height is of 52 feet).
On account of the AMC''s anniversary day, the sculptor and the architect gave a presentation on the proposed statue work before the public representatives, former office-bearers, former corporators at the civic headquarter. The members gave few suggestions like the left leg of the horse should be in the air (it should not be rested on the pedestal), there should be a distance between the legs of the horse, the jewellery or ornaments worn by Chhatrapati Shivaji and the horse should be clearly seen. Prithviraj Pawar said the sword in the hand of Chhatrapati Shivaji should be stretched to a height. Janjal said that the statue should be like the one in Pratapgad Fort. The AMC administration assured of implementing all the suggestions and completing the task within time.
