AMC to function with two MoHs

Aurangabad, May 28:

The state government had sent Dr. Paras Mandlecha on deputation as the municipal officer of health (MoH) in Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC). However, the AMC administration has not relieved the acting MoH Dr. Neeta Padalkar. Instead, the civic administration has decided to function with the help of both the MoHs and it has allotted various responsibilities to them.

The AMC's establishment section has created MoH-1 and MoH-2 posts. Dr. Mandlecha has been given the responsibility of handling the issues relating to medical reimbursement, medical leave, biological malaria and vector-borne diseases, birth and death section, all AMC hospitals and establishment, etc, while Dr. Padalkar will be looking after Covid-19, National Urban Health Mission, Tuberculosis Control Programme, Nursing Home Act, implementation of

PC-PNDT, drug store, and all the national programmes.
