Residents of the city will soon get a new weekly train to travel to Tirupati and Shirdi. South Central Railway is introducing the Tirupati–Sainagar Shirdi–Tirupati weekly train from 14 December. The inaugural train will run from Tirupati on 9 December.

The Railway Board has approved the commencement of the Tirupati–Sainagar Shirdi–Tirupati (17425/17426) train. It will run every Sunday from Tirupati and every Monday from Shirdi, passing through Guntur, Secunderabad, Vikarabad, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The regular service will begin on 14 December from Tirupati and 15 December from Shirdi.

The inaugural Tirupati–Sainagar Shirdi train will run on 9 December, and the Sainagar Shirdi–Tirupati inaugural train will run on 10 December.

Timings at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar railway station

— The weekly Tirupati–Sainagar Shirdi train will depart from Tirupati every Sunday at 4 AM.

It will arrive at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Monday at 6:15 AM and depart at 6:20 AM.

The train will reach Shirdi at 10:45 AM.

— The Sainagar Shirdi–Tirupati weekly train will depart from Shirdi every Monday at 7:35 PM.

It will reach Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar at 11:10 PM, halt for five minutes, and then depart onward.

The train will arrive in Tirupati at 1:30 AM on Tuesday.

Special train cancelled due to introduction of new service

With the introduction of this new weekly train, the already announced Tirupati–Sainagar Shirdi (07637) special train services on 14, 21, and 28 December have been cancelled.

Similarly, the Sainagar Shirdi–Tirupati (07638) special trains scheduled for 15, 22, and 29 December have also been cancelled.
