Body found in Godavari River

A 24-year-old youth, AbhishekBorse (Shivrai, Vaijapur tehsil), was found floating in the Godavari river near old Kaygaon on Monday morning.

Gangapur Police, alerted by locals, retrieved the body and sent it to the Sub-District Hospital. His identity was confirmed through a two-wheeler found on the nearby bridge. An accidental death report has been filed. Borse, who worked at a private factory in Waluj MIDC, had been missing for three days with no contact with his family. He is survived by his parents and three sisters. Last rites were performed at Shivrai at 9 pm.
