Chhatrapati Sambhajiangar: Ashfaq Ali Khan, who is from the city and currently serving as the Head of Department (Sports) at the International Indian School, Riyadh (IISR) in Saudi Arabia, has been appointed as a Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) observer.

The CBSE organises the 'CBSE Games' annually for students studying in its affiliated schools. Students from CBSE-affiliated schools in overseas clusters also participate in the sports competitions.

To assist the host schools, the Board appoints an observer for each overseas cluster/zone. Khan has been appointed as the CBSE Observer for the Saudi Arabia cluster.
