Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The ongoing tensions across the world amid the US–Israel–Iran conflict have created an atmosphere of uncertainty globally. In such a situation, Israel’s Consul General (in Mumbai) Yaniv Revach on Monday visited the world heritage Ellora Caves, along with the Devgiri (Daulatabad) Fort and iconic Bibi Ka Maqbara. Embracing Indian culture, he also offered prayers at the Ghrishneshwar Temple in the traditional manner.

At the Ellora Caves, incharge conservation assistant Nilesh Koli welcomed Yaniv Revach, while conservation assistant Sanjay Rohankar received him at Devgiri Fort and Bibi Ka Maqbara. Guide Bharat Joshi briefed him about the history and significance of the Caves and the Fort.

The Consul General closely observed the ancient sculptures at the Caves and was deeply impressed by the architectural design of the Fort. He was also pleased to visit the royal mausoleum Bibi ka Maqbara in the city.

Immediately agreed to remove shirt before entering temple

Yaniv Revach expressed his desire to visit the Ghrishneshwar Temple. He was informed that men are required to remove their shirts before entering the temple premises. He readily agreed to the custom and later performed traditional ritual and paid obeisance inside the temple.
