Aurangabad, Nov 11:

One-day multilingual and interdisciplinary national seminar was organised on ‘Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and National Integration: A Socio-Political and Journalistic View’ on Wednesday to celebrate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

The seminar was organised jointly by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Chair of UGC, Boards of Students'' Development, Lokseva College and Arts College- Bidkin.

Delivering the keynote address, director of Students Development of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Dr Mustajeeb Khan said Azad stood for Hindu and Muslim unity. He mentioned that Azad was the staunch supporter of one nation theory and opposed the partition.

Dr Shaikh Parvez Aslam coordinator of the seminar gave introductory remarks. Dr Nitin Aher (Principal, College of Arts, Bidkin), former Principal Dr F A Siddiqui and Dr Quazi Naweed also spoke. The principal of Lokseva College ,Dr Liyakat Shaik presided over the function.
