Nashik TCS Case: Accused Nida Khan Arrested From Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Nida Khan, accused in the TCS Nashik conversion and sexual exploitation case, was arrested on Thursday night, May 7, from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The arrest came 40 days after an FIR was registered in her name. The arrest was made in a joint operation by the Nashik SIT team, the Crime Branch of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and the Police.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Sandip Mitke, who heads the Nashik Police SIT, told The Hindu that the police have taken the custody of Nida Khan from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and are in the process of completing the legal action.

Khan accused of forcible 'religious conversion' at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) office in Nashik. She is allegedly on the run after multiple cases linked to the probe were registered. She was staying at her brother's place in Kaiser Colony in the Naregaon area of the district.

The police said the flat had been kept under surveillance for the last two days before the operation was carried out.

“Accused Nida Khan, wanted in Devlali Camp Police Station Crime Register No. 156/26, has been taken into custody from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. As per Section 43(5) of the BNSS, she is being produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for transit remand proceedings,” said SIT in a statement.

After her detention, Khan was produced before a Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) at the judge's residence, where police secured transit remand. She was later taken to Nashik for further questioning and legal proceedings.

Nida Khan had earlier approached a Nashik court seeking anticipatory bail and interim protection from arrest, citing her two-month pregnancy. However, the court declined to grant interim relief. Khan joined the company in December 2021 and worked as a process associate, according to the NDTV report.
