Aurangabad, Feb 18:

The Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a Block

Development Officer (BDO) for accepting bribe of Rs 37,000 from a farmer in

Beed district. According to the details, BDO, Narayan Babasaheb Misal (32)

is working at Panchayat Samiti in Patoda in Beed district. The complainant

farmer from Daskhed, Patoda in Beed District requested him to sanction his bill

for well dug under the rural employment guarantee scheme. Misal demanded Rs

37,500 from him. As the complainant was not ready to pay the bribe, he lodged a

complaint at the ACB. Accordingly, a trap was laid on Wednesday and Misal was

arrested red-handed while accepting Rs 37,000.
