Beed Bypass Road: Vehicle-owners, pedestrians complaint of facing hardship while crossing the highway
Aurangabad, Nov 5:
The vehicle-owners complained of facing hardship while passing through the patch between Mahanubhav Ashram and Deolai, on Beed Bypass road during the night hours. The absence of streetlights is paving the way for accidents due to spread dust and deep potholes on the road. The life of pedestrians is also at risk if he is passing through the road during dark hours.
There is a spread of darkness till Deolai Chowk, and then one could see the functioning of a few lights near MIT College. As a result, the heavy motor vehicles and light motor vehicles had to drive their vehicles with the help of headlamps during night hours. However, they are unable to negotiate with the potholes due to dust coming out from the deep potholes. Two heavy vehicles running opposite directions cannot pass through the road safely.
The road having heavy vehicular traffic is already well known for its accidents. As a result, the vehicle drivers or riders had to be careful while passing through the street. Before the rainy season, the PWD claimed to have filled up the potholes, but the material got vanished due to heavy rainfall held recently. Moreover, it is also hazardous to move aside from the road with the vehicle, especially for motorcycles.
The vehicle-riders heave a sigh of relief after passing through the patch from Mahanubhav Ashram to MIT Road, Sangramnagar Bridge to Renuka Mata temple, Patel Complex, Ayyappa Mandir to Deolai etc. safely. Else they are worried whether they would be reaching home safely or not. Their family members are equally worried till their bread-winners do not return home safely.
Meanwhile, the residents voiced when the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation will fix the streetlights as the spread of darkness on the road is dangerous for them. They urged to fix the lights on priority as festival season is around the corner many people are stepping out of their homes with families in small vehicles and light motor vehicles.
