Aurangabad, July 14:

A blood donation camp was organised by Lokmat and Aurangabad District Chemist and Druggist Association at Aushadhi Bhavan at 10 am on Wednesday. Joint commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Sanjay Kale inaugurated the camp. Former president of the association late Raosaheb Khedkar's son Yashwant Khedkar was the first to donate blood.

After inauguration, Harish Kabra donated blood and also appealed all to donate blood. Joint commissioner Kale lauded Lokmat for launching a blood donation drive 'Lokmat Raktacha Naata' across the state while there was a shortage of blood in the state. He also lauded the chemists and druggists association for taking the initiative for the camp. Blood donors were given certificates, a bag, a bottle of sanitizer and juice. Marathwada president Shekhar Gade also expressed his views. Rajendra Tibdiwala, Dilip Jain, secretary Vinod Lohade, vice president Shailendra Ravat, Jt secretary Nitin Dandge, Sagar Patil, treasurer Nikhil Sarda, members Shaikh Rais, Sunil Deshmukh, Manohar Kore, Balu Sonawane, Kapil Tibdiwala, project chief Sanjay Lodha, Nandu Kale, Kalyan Kavre-Patil Vasant Bharad took efforts.
