Aurangabad, Dec 12:

The disappointed civil engineering assistants (CEAs) has objected to the seniority list declared by the Public Works Department (PWD) and demanded an inquiry into the irregularities which had taken place in finalising the list. They claimed that a group was formed on social media, and the word ''Sakhar'' (sugar) was used for making the monetary transaction.

The PWD has declared the final seniority list, but the eligible candidates mentioned that their names are missing from it. The employees, whose name is in the list will be promoted as junior engineers, on the seniority basis. The CEAs claimed there are hundreds of candidates, who had passed the departmental examination, after their appointments in the past four years. It is a sheer violation of provision made for them in the government resolution of dated 8.8.2001.

The CEAs alleged that few officers and other personnel from Mantralaya have got managed in the irregularity. The sugar '' Sakhar'' collected through the social media group reached till the officers concerned and accordingly, the list was declared. Hence the administration concern should make the inquiry of social media group and irregularity in the list, on priority.
