City airport ranked No. 1 in country

The city’s airport has secured the first rank among 60 airports under the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in the ‘Customer Satisfaction Survey – Round 2’ conducted between July and December 2025. It was honoured as the country’s Number One airport at a ceremony held in New Delhi on Wednesday.

At the AAI Foundation Day event on April 1, airport director Sharad Yeole received the prestigious award in recognition of the airport’s performance and commitment to passenger satisfaction. The airport topped the 0.5–1.5 MPPA category in the Customer Satisfaction Survey 2025 (Category-2), achieving a rating of 4.99 out of 5.

Yevle said the achievement reflects sustained efforts to enhance service quality, passenger convenience and operational excellence. He thanked stakeholders, staff and passengers for their support and feedback, adding that the milestone strengthens the vision of delivering world-class airport services.
