City churches opened with safety measures

Aurangabad, Nov 23:

As per the directives of the government, the religious places have been opened for the devotees from November 16. Accordingly, all the churches in the city have been opened on Sunday by following proper safety measures.

The devotees were sanitized by the officials of the pastorate committee at the entrance of the churches. Those without masks were not allowed while masks were provided by the churches. Devotees were made to stand at specific distances following the social distancing and prayers were conducted in limited time.

Prayers were held at Christ Church between 8 to 8.40 am, 9 to 9.40 am, 10 to 10.40 am, and 11 to 11.40 am. The church was sanitized after the prayers. Similarly, prayers will be held on two occasions on Friday between 8 to 8.40 am and 9 to 9.40 am, informed priest in charge Rev Ranjan Rathod.

Prayers were also held at Saint Philip Church by following safety measures. All the churches have issued the time table for the prayers to the devotees and also safety guidelines.
