On Wednesday evening around 7 pm, the city and surrounding areas were hit by sudden rain accompanied by strong winds and thunder. The unexpected downpour caused a flurry of activity among residents. The Chikalthana Observatory reported 8.8 mm of rainfall in just one hour.

During the day, the sun was scorching, with the maximum temperature reaching 38°C and the minimum at 20.8°C. The evening rain brought a welcome coolness to the atmosphere.

After Monday’s untimely showers accompanied by hail, the city experienced a brief break from rain on Tuesday. However, on Wednesday, the showers returned along with thunder and strong winds. Tuesday’s temperature was 32.8°C, but on Wednesday, it rose by 5.2°C, reaching a maximum of 38°C.

The Meteorological Department has forecasted more unseasonal rain from March 30 to April 4. Since March 29, the city has been experiencing fluctuating weather, with a mix of clouds, sun, and temperature swings, offering some relief from the heat. On Wednesday, the sun was strong from morning till evening. As clouds gathered in the evening, intermittent shade and breeze appeared. After 6 pm, winds picked up speed, followed by thunder and rainfall.
