A five-year-old girl was sexually assaulted after being enticed with chocklates by her family's landlord in Jinsi area. The incident took place at 4.30 pm on Wednesday.

The 38-year-old accused, identified as Shafiq Khan, was swiftly apprehended by the authorities as he attempted to abscond. The young victim was playing near her residence. Khan, who resided in the same vicinity and to whom the girl's family had recently become tenants, allegedly lured the child into his dwelling with the promise of a sweet treat. After she entered the room, Shafiq, who was sitting unclothed, sexually assaulted the girl. The girl tried to scream and escape, but he continued to assault her. After the incident, the girl ran crying to her mother. When the mother asked her the reason for crying, the girl was too scared to speak but later revealed the details of the incident. The angry mother immediately rushed to the Jinse police station.
