Two persons were arrested for allegedly siphoning off material from an endurance company in MIDC Waluj, with police seizing goods worth over Rs 4.68 lakhs.
Complainant Yogesh Sable (32) stated that on December 18, 2025, the accused transported material in a Bolero (MH-20-DT-0113) to Krishna Coating Company but, in collusion, delivered only part of the consignment and sold the rest. Following technical analysis and confidential inputs, police arrested Sandeep Dane (32) and Nilesh Pawar (21). The stolen material was sold to Raju Salauddin of Pandharpur and melted into aluminium ingots. Police recovered 45 aluminium ingots (around 450 kg) and other material valued at over Rs 4.68 lakhs. The action was taken under assistant commissioner of police Dr Bhagirathi Pawar, led by senior police inspector Rameshwar Gade and his team. Search for other accused and remaining property is on. Investigation is being conducted by police sub-inspector Vinod Awoj.
