Controversy over skit show

The members of ABVP and Bajrang Dal arrived at the university today on learning this. ABVP regional executive body member Nagesh Galande told this newspaper demand that the university administration should examine the script of all skit plays to avoid controversy in future.

Director of the Students Development Board Dr Sanjay Sambhalkar said that after obtaining the information about the skit, a probe would be initiated.

University team manager Dr Ashok Bandgar said that no one’s feelings were hurt through the play in the skit contest. The same play won top prizes in the Indradhanush Zonal Level Youth Festival which is hosted by the office of the Governor.

Qawwalis like ‘Ye to Khwaja Ka Kram Hai, Dama Dam Mast Qalandar, Khwaja Mere Khwaja Dil Mein Samaja, Dulhe Ka Sehra Suhana Lagta, Bhardo Jholi Meri Ya Mohammed, Bhim Baba Mile To Jamana Mila’ mesmerised audience at Sujanrang. The Qawwalis were based on spiritualism, patriotism and love and with a fusion of traditional music.
