Aurangabad, March 22:

The Corona crisis is increasing in the rural areas also and it has become a tough challenge for the administration to stop the spread of the Corona Virus. District Collector Sunil Chaudhary has directed the officers to increase the Corona tests and Covid Care Centres (CCC) immediately. He was speaking during the meeting at the district collectorate on Monday.

He mentioned that treatment facilities for the patients with mild symptoms should be made at the CCC and cots should be made available for the serious patients in the hospitals. The tests should be increased in the villages where more than 25 patients are reported positive. The doctors of all the rural hospitals should go to villages and conduct the tests. They should set a target of 100 tests daily. The required human resources for operating CCC should be made available through the contractual system, Chavan said.

ZP CEO, Dr Mangesh Gondavale said, the tests will be conducted through the rural, sub-district hospitals and primary health centres.

AMC commissioner, Astik Kumar Pandey, officers of FDA, health, revenue, municipal councils, police, agriculture, co-operative and other departments were present.
