COVID patients wearing PPE kits cast votes

Aurangabad, Dec 1:

Four positive patients of Novel coronavirus cast their votes of Marathwada Graduates Constituency poll at a centre in the city on Tuesday.

The administration has a fixed schedule (from 4 pm to 5 pm) for the voting of patients whose condition is stable.

Earlier, incidents of admitted patients of other diseases and exercising their franchise were reported. But, COVID patients cast their votes the first time. The health machinery made all arrangements by taking all measures.

The four pandemic patients undergoing treatment at District Civil Hospital (DCH) were taken to a polling booth at Cidco by ambulance. They were given PPE kit to wear before entering the booth.

Wearing hand gloves, mask shield, they used their democratic right. District Civil Surgeon Dr Sundar Kulkarni said that four COVID patients from DCH did voting in today’s Graduates elections.
