Aurangabad, July 9:

The son and grandson of an 88 years old man died long back and there was no male heir to perform his last rites. Hence, his daughter and daughter-in-law offered fire his pyre.

Businessman Omprakash Khanna, a resident of N-3, Cidco died on Wednesday at the age of 88 years. His son Premprakash and grandson Jenesh died some years back. He never considered any difference between his son and the daughter. After the death of his son, he treated his daughter-in-law as son.

On Wednesday, the last rites were performed on him at the N-6 Crematorium, where his daugher Seema Mehra and daughter-in-law Neelam Khanna offered fire to his pyre.
