Demand to postpone UG, PG exams within Bamu’s jurisdiction

Aurangabad, April 13:

Management Council members of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) demanded that the ongoing examinations of various undergraduate and postgraduate courses be postponed up to April 30 because of the second wave of COVID 19.

In a memorandum submitted to the vice-chancellor, the MC members stated that there is a severe condition of COVID outbreak within the university's jurisdiction today.

“The State Government has issued instructions to shut down all the educational institutions up to April 30.

No university in the State is conducting examinations given pandemic virus. Holding the examinations is like playing with the life of thousands of students, teaching and non-teaching staff members. Bamu had postponed the examinations last when the patients' strength was low while today nearly 4,000 patients are detected in its jurisdiction daily,” they added.

The memorandum was signed by MC members Dr Rajesh Karpe, Dr Baba Salampure, Dr Vilas Khandare and Dr Pratibha Ahire.
