The annual gathering of ‘Devmudra – A Movement School’ was held on Saturday evening at Tapadia Natyamandir, where students captivated the audience with graceful presentations of Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. Through precise footwork and expressive gestures, the performers offered a mesmerising glimpse of classical dance traditions.
Students from classes one to seven showcased their talent. In Kuchipudi, compositions like Ambaparaku, Ganesh Daruvu, Shiva Padamalika and Tuluja Shabdam infused energy into the atmosphere. Bharatanatyam performances included Pushpanjali, Jatiswaram, Shabdam, Trimurti Anjali, Aigiri Nandini, Bho Shambho, Adavus, Hastamudras, Abeer Gulal and Tillana. Group performances added grandeur, while a special presentation themed ‘Operation Sindoor’ marked the finale.
Honouring excellence
During the interval, various awards were presented in memory of Ramdas Pawar. Unnati Pathare received the merit scholarship. Unnati Patni was honoured for best choreography, Chhaya Asar for excellent management, and Vedika Surase along with Shreya Ramdasi received the best duo award.
