Thar SUV knocks down motorcyclist in Cidco; driver flees

A construction worker riding a two-wheeler was allegedly hit by a Thar SUV (MH-20-GV-7797) between Baliram Patil Chowk and Bajrang Chowk on April 26 around 3.30 pm.

According to the complaint lodged at the Cidco police station by Irfan Khan, a mason, he was travelling on his motorcycle (MH-20-EZ-8639) towards Azad Chowk for work when a black Thar struck his vehicle forcefully from the right side. Khan sustained injuries to his leg and shoulder. The impact was such that the Thar’s mudguard got entangled in the motorcycle, dragging it for some distance and causing significant damage to the two-wheeler. Following the accident, the Thar driver allegedly fled the scene without stopping. A case has been registered against the unidentified driver, and further investigation is underway.
