Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Dr Dhanashree Mahajan has been appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu).

Vice-Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari made the appointment. Dr Mahajan took charge from Dr Sanjay Salunke.

Dr Mahajan is a professor in the Economics Department and also holds the additional charge of Director of the UGC's Malviya Mission Teacher Training Centre.

She is currently working on a research project in collaboration with the University of Warwick, London, and the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi.

Previously, she has completed two national and six state-level research projects. She has published 50 articles in various national and international journals, along with nine books on the subject of Economics, with two more books currently in the pipeline.
