Of 47 objections filed against the District Bank's draft voter list, 25 were rejected and 22 accepted. Objections against Minister Atul Save and City BJP President Kishor Shitole were rejected, clearing their path to contest from the non-agricultural constituency. BJP's main panel is likely to be formed under their leadership. Divisional Deputy Registrar Santosh Bidwai stated the objections were vague and therefore rejected.
The objection against Save claimed he had only recently become a society member, while Shaikh Huzaif of Sillod objected that Shitole had submitted his resolution too early. Though the individual constituency has not existed for the last two elections, 22 names were illegally inserted into it headed by Abdul Sattar, followed by his two sons and outgoing bank president Arjun Gadhe. Dilip Bankar objected to all 22 names, which the divisional deputy registrar accepted, ordering their removal. This is being seen as a major setback for Abdul Sattar, with Congress MP circles closely watching the development. Bankar also raised the point that freedom fighters' descendants should be registered in the individual constituency accepted by the divisional deputy registrar.
