Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was celebrated in the city on Tuesday with great enthusiasm and reverence. Slogans like "Jab tak suraj chaand rahega, Baba tera naam rahega" reverberated as youth danced in jubilation to the glory songs of the great man, and the stretch from Kranti Chowk to City Chowk was literally filled with a wave of blue energy.

In the main procession, the faces of children, the elderly, women, and young girls radiated tremendous excitement and a sense of gratitude towards Babasaheb. While a grand procession is taken out through the city every year on this occasion, this year's celebration was something else entirely. Everyone glowed with joy and pride, dancing at every stage to the DJ music from participating vehicles. Kranti Chowk, Sille-Khana, and Paithan Gate Chowk thundered with DJ beats. Police had set up two watchtowers, each at Kranti Chowk and Sillakhana Chowk, and when the DJ volume suddenly surged, people were seen covering their ears as they walked ahead.

The tableaux on participating vehicles, carrying messages for society, were attention-grabbing. At Kranti Chowk, the Panthers Republican Party's platform saw Suryakanta Gade and Dr Siddhant Gade welcoming celebration committee office-bearers. Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi's city president Adv. Pankaj Bansode, Rahul Makasare, and the women's wing office-bearers were also present.

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti Celebration Mahasamiti's Dinkar Onkar, Milind Dabhade, Vijay Magare, and Gautam Landge, along with office-bearers of the Communist Party of India, Republican Party of India (Democratic), Dalit Panthers, and RPI, welcomed procession participants from their platforms at Paithan Gate.

Each tableau was not merely a visual display but carried a message of thought that reached citizens meaningfully. Grand LED screens and colourful laser shows lit up the procession route brilliantly, displaying Babasaheb's thoughts, historic moments, and inspiring visuals, adding a modern touch that made the procession all the more impactful.
