Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Educational societies on heads from across Marathwada have come together in a show of solidarity to demand the recruitment of non-teaching staff in aided colleges.

A meeting was held at the central office hall of Saraswati Bhuvan Educational Society (SBES) on Monday. Dr Shrirang Deshpande, Secretary General of SBES, said that officers and representatives of major educational institutions from Marathwada participated and discussed various issues.

Those present at the meeting included MSP Mandal General Secretary MLC Satish Chavan, SBES president adv Dinesh Vakil, Secretary General Dr Shrirang Deshpande, Tushaar Shisode of Vivekananda Educational Society, Nitin Rathod of Vasantrao Naik Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Shaikh Mohd Ayub of Urdu Education Society and others.

The resolutions passed at the meeting included that the government should immediately approve the recruitment of non-teaching staff in colleges; seeking demand to withdraw the government's decision to abolish Class IV employee posts in schools, and problems regarding the cleanliness of campuses, classrooms, and laboratories. They also warned that if immediate action is not taken on matters, an intense agitation will be launched.
