Two youths were killed and two others injured after a speeding Eicher truck rammed into a stationary DJ tempo on the old Nagpur-Mumbai highway near Lasur Station around 3.30 am on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Govind Tanpure (30, Jadgaon) and Rahul Rathod (21, Kumbhephal). Police said the victims were travelling towards Lasur Station for a religious programme when they stopped near Sultanabad Shivar. An Eicher truck carrying soft drink bottles from Shendra MIDC to Dombivli crashed into the tempo from behind.
