Eight booked in Pundliknagar firing case

In a major development, Pundliknagar police have identified eight accused, including alleged gang leader Shubham Jat, in connection with a firing and intimidation case registered on Tuesday.

The accused have been identified as Shubham Jat (31, Beed Bypass), Mayur Unge (21, Sairaj Nagar, Jaybhavani Nagar), Shiva Bhalerao (20, Vishrantinagar), Vijay Dhanai (24, Jaybhavani Nagar), Manoj Padul (25, Jaybhavani Nagar), Sagar Raut (20, Jaybhavani Nagar), Amar alias Atul Pawar (40, Hamalpura, Sadar Bazar, Jalna), and Dnyaneshwar alias Mauli Yadav (32, Jaybhavani Nagar). According to the complaint filed by Sachin Bali Lahoti, the incident occurred on January 19, 2026, when Shubham Jat and his associates allegedly arrived outside his residence armed with sharp weapons and a pistol. The accused allegedly abused him, issued death threats, and opened fire at his house with the intention of killing him and his family members. They also allegedly threatened other residents in the lane. Based on the complaint, a case has been registered at Pundliknagar police station, and further investigation has been handed over to the assistant commissioner of police, Osmanpura division.
