Aurangabad, July 30:

Lovebirds couple from the Satara area eloped on two occasions in the past two months. The Satara police searched the couple and brought them back a second time from Pimpri Chinchwad on Wednesday. The boy has been arrested on charges of rape and kidnapping, while the minor girl has been handed over to her parents.

A 21 years old boy eloped a 15 years old girl from the Satara area in April. The police arrested both of them at Pune and brought them back to the city. The body was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The court later released him from the prison on bail and his parents sent him to his native village. On June 22, she received the information that he is coming to the city to meet his ailing relative at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). She went and met him there. They wandered in the Baudha Leni area during the day and slept at the GMCH premises at night. On June 27, both of them went to Pimpri Chichwad.

Meanwhile, her parents lodged a complaint of the kidnapping of their daughter at the Satara police station. PSI Anita Fasate and her team searched the couple and found their whereabouts at Pune. The Pune Wakad police arrested both of them. They were brought to the Satara police station on Wednesday. The women’s vigilance committee registered the girl's statement while the boy has been booked under POCSO Act for the second time. T

he police, during interrogation, found that both of them profoundly love each other. They are not afraid of being arrested. The boy does not seem to be serious about the sections imposed on him. He appeared to be careless. He was out of jail on bail in the first case. There is a possibility that they can run away again if the boy gets bail, the police opined.
