Essence of Abhidhamma Unveiled Through Music at MGM

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A musical presentation 'Sheel-Samadhi-Pradnya' was organised by MGM University, at Rukmini Auditorium on Buddha Poornima. It unveiled the essence of Abhidhamma

The science-based philosophy at the core of Tathagat Bhagwan Gautam Buddha's Dhamma was expressed through music, and the principles of Sheel (Morality), Samadhi (Meditation), and Pradnya (Wisdom) were presented for the first time through various ragas and rhythms of Indian classical music.

The event was organised under the guidance of MGM University Chancellor Ankushrao Kadam at the university's Rukmini Auditorium on Buddha Poornima.

The musical presentation was composed by the talented musician Dr Sanjay Mohad. Selected songs of the great poet Wamanrao Kardak and compositions by Dr Sanjay Mohad himself were performed. These included Trisaran Panchasheel (Raga Bhoop Kalyan), Aath Panthacha (Raga Sohani), Sare Manav Prani (Raga Bihag), Trisaran Uddharati (Raga Hansadhvani), Gautama TuJi Godi (Raga Maru Bihag).
