Aurangabad, July 8:

A domestic gas cylinder exploded at the Sanjaynagar area on Thursday morning. Fortunately, no losses of lives were reported, but all the articles in the house were reduced to ashes.

According to the details, Pranav Sanjay Honrao lives with his family at Sanjaynagar in the Jinsi area. Today at around 8.30 am, one of his family members lit up gas stove for preparing tea, but the regulator suddenly caught fire. All the family members got out of the house.

Within few minutes, the gas cylinder exploded, and the fire broke out. On receiving the information, the Cidco fire brigade officer Vijay Rathod, Jawan Ramesh Sonawane, Babasaheb Tathe, Ravindra Harne, Ramu Bamne, Mobinullah, driver Abdul Hamid rushed to the spot and gained control over the fire. But the fridge, cooler, electric wires, fan, and all the kitchen articles were reduced to ashes.

It was found that the fire broke out due to leakage in the cylinder, and the losses to the tune of around Rs 2 lakh were incurred. The Jinsi police rushed and dispersed the crowd gathered on the spot.
