Health officers, employees to keep watch on polling centres
Aurangabad, Nov 29:
The officers and the employees of the public health department will have a strict vigil on the polling centres for the Marathwada Graduate Constituency elections to spot the Corona suspects. It is for the first time that the health department have been deployed on the polling centres due to the Corona crisis.
The Marathwada Graduate Constituency elections are held in the Corona crisis. The administration has implemented all the safety measures to avert the Corona infection. Masks have been made mandatory to all persons entering the polling centres. Similarly, all the persons will be screened by thermal guns and sanitizers will be used. All the safety guidelines have been implemented scrupulously.
District civil surgeon, Dr Sundar Kulkarni said, in the entire service span, it is for the first time, we are working in the election duty. The employees have been given training in this regard. The swabs of the suspects will be collected, he said.
The health deputy director, Dr Swapnil Lale said, the elections are being held during the Corona period and hence various safety measures are being taken. Precautions were taken during the NEET, JEE examinations, and similar precautions will be taken during the elections, he said.
