House burgled at Padegaon; one held

Aurangabad, June 3:

In all, four thieves entered a locked house at Ahimsa Nisarga Colony in Padegaon area on Thursday at around 1 am. The neighbor lecturer heard the noise and alerted the nearby residents. The residents gathered near the house and the thieves after some time came out of the house. The residents tried to nab them but managed to get hold of only one of the four thieves. The thieves took away valuables amounting to Rs 1 lakh. The arrested thief has been identified as Santosh Kanu Pawar (38, Jamkhed, Ahmednagar).

Laxman Pradhan, a resident of Ahimsa Nisarga Colony had gone to Nanded with his family for some work. On Thursday in the wee hours, the thieves entered in the house. The neighbourer lecturer Harshvardhan Bhaurao Ingale heard the noise and alerted the other neighbourers. The residents, police constable Nitin Ghodke, Sharad Ahire, Vilas Pandit, Sandeep Pathak, Nilesh Tanpure, Deepak Ghusale, Narendra Singh and others gathered near the house and saw the thieves coming out of the house. They managed to nab one of these thieves. He bite the hand of Ghodke, still he did not leave him. The police on receiving the information rushed to the spot and took away Santosh Pawar.

The police and the residents inspected the house and found that the thieves have taken the valuables of around Rs 1 lakh.
