Aurangabad, Feb 8:

There was a huge rush of students for the spot admission rounds in city and Osmanabad campuses of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) Monday.

The online admission process was implemented for the 45 university departments and ten at sub-centre departments. The two centralised admission rounds were held till February 4. The vacant seats available in the department were displayed on February 5.

The spot admission was held today. Deputy registrar (Postgraduate Department) Dr Digamber Netke said that nearly 2,000 students registered for the admissions in the spot round held from 10 am to 1 pm. He said that there was a good response from students for the round.

A total of 1350 students registered for admissions in Science and Technology courses at university auditorium while 750 in the respective departments for other courses.

The university offers PG courses in Science, Arts, Social Science, Commerce, Management Science and Technology, Fine Art, Education and Physical Education.

The city campus also has MSW College, Gopinath Munde Institute for Rural Development and Research and B Voc course. The classes will restart in the departments from February 15.
