Indian knowledge tradition gave direction to administration

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: “The Indian knowledge tradition is very ancient and rich, and this tradition has the power to guide the country's governance and administration,” said Dr Manoj Dixit, Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Ganga Singh University (Rajasthan).

He was speaking at a national seminar organised on ‘Indian Knowledge Tradition and Public Administration: Moving towards Sustainability’ by the Department of Public Administration of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) recently.

Vice Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari presided over the function. Convener and head of the Department Dr Shyam Shirsath, Dr Satish Dandge and coordinator Dr Jyoti Ghaygude were present.

Manoj Dixit said many streams of Indian knowledge traditions were accepted by many countries around the world. “In our country, which is rich in diversity, many streams of thought have emerged due to the penetration of Indian knowledge tradition. This needs to be studied further, Dr. Dixit also said.

In his presidential closing remarks, VC Dr Vijay Fulari said that in order to further strengthen the country's governance and administration system, there is a need to delve deeper into the Indian knowledge tradition and conduct research and application.
