Aurangabad, Jan 4:

The Indigo Airline has decided to run the Aurangabad – Kolkata (via Mumbai) and vice versa from January 8 onwards.

It may be noted that Indigo has regularized the Aurangabad – Mumbai service on daily basis from January 8.

Earlier, the Aurangabad – Mumbai service was closed due to the Corona crisis since March. The service resumed again on October 15 after the gap of almost 7 months. Initially, the service was operated four days a week and later three days a week.

The service has a good response from the city air passengers and there has been a frequent demand from the city passengers for an air service for Kolkata. Now, Indigo airline has decided to start the Kolkata to Aurangabad and vice versa (via Mumbai). The passengers going to Kolkatta from Aurangabad or coming from Kolkatta to Aurangabad will not have to change the flight and the same flight will be operated further. It will improve the connectivity of Aurangabad with East and North-East India, opined industrialist Sunit Kothari.
