Aurangabad, July 5: Shivprasad Jaju was elected president, Nitin Gupta vice-president and Satish Lonikar as honorary secretary of the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) for the year 2021-22 during the Executive Committee meeting held here today.

Other office-bearers are: Joint secretary - Anil Mali; treasurer - Pritish Chatterjee; joint treasurer - Shirish Tambe and immediate past-president Kamleish Dhoot.

Executive committee members are as follows: Abhay Raj Kapoor, Ashok Kale, Nitin Kabra, Suyog Machhar, Anil Mali, Ritesh Mishra and Suresh Todkar.

Co-opted members for 2021-22: Dushyant Patil, Dr Himanshu Gupta, Manoj Petty, Nilesh Kapadia, Rajesh Patney, Rasdeep Singh Chawla and Saurabh Bhogale.

The outgoing president Dhoot welcomed and congratulated the incoming president Jaju and the newly-elected office bearers.

Dhoot expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response of members to the initiatives/activities and webinars conducted during the year 2020-21. He specially mentioned the generous contribution by the members to ‘Fight against Covid’ and CMIA Building project.

Jaju said all-out efforts will be made to bring in new industrial investment in the region and promote export. Efforts will be made to promote skill development, innovation and incubation. The possibility for fund raising for the industries passing through the financial challenges due to COVID pandemic will be explored. Lonikar conducted the proceedings and proposed a vote of thanks.
