Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The “Jansahyog Nursery – 2026” initiative was launched on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, marking a major step towards large-scale tree plantation.

Jansahyog has been already planting native, rare, and medicinal species, due to limited availability of such plants, the organisation started its own nursery and developed methods to grow saplings quickly and in large numbers.

This year, the group has undertaken a project to prepare 5 lakh saplings of 150 species, with seed sowing inaugurated by dignitaries including managing director of Grind Master Company Milind Kelkar, MLA Shrikant Bharatiya, mayor Sameer Rajurkar, municipal commissioner Amol Yedge divisional forest officer Sandeep Giri, deputy municipal commissioner Nandkishor Bhombe, honorary wildlife warden Dr Kishor Pathak.

Also donors Dhananjay Shedbale and Raghunath Dhole from Devarai Foundation and G.D. Agrawal, Nandkishor Sonar were present

The initiative will require significant financial support in the future, and citizens are urged to contribute and participate in this green movement.

On this occasion, a collective reading of Maharaj’s “Aagyapatra” was held.
