Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange on Wednesday accused former minister and MLA Dhananjay Munde of amassing wealth under the name of Walmik Karad, the prime accused in the Santosh Deshmukh murder case.
"Karad doesn’t own the crores worth of assets and luxury cars everything belongs to Dhananjay Munde," Jarange alleged while addressing the press. "When Munde was a minister, Karad handled all his dealings, including criminal activities like extortion and murders. Now, Munde has abandoned him to save himself," he added. Munde even called the authorities to protect the accused in the murder case, which was known to the then-SP.
Jarange further claimed that Munde personally called officials to shield the accused in the murder case. "Munde was forced to resign, but that is not enough. He must be removed as an MLA and named in the murder case," he demanded.

"Karad must speak the truth or his family will suffer"
Warning Karad, Jarange said, "Munde is enjoying life while Karad rots in jail. If Karad stays silent, his family will be ruined."

"Grant kunbi certificates to all marathas"
As the state assembly session continues, Jarange urged the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Ministers to resolve the Maratha reservation issue. "The entire Maratha community belongs to the Kunbi category, so all Kunbi certificates should be issued. Maratha MLAs should push for this. Documents found in Hyderabad, Satara, and Aundh princely states should be implemented. The Shinde Committee’s work has stalled. Those with valid records should be granted certificates with validity, and cases against protestors should be withdrawn," he demanded.

"Where do ministers get such arrogance?"
Taking a swipe at Minister Jaykumar Gore, Jarange questioned, "A minister sends obscene photos to a woman where do they get such arrogance?"
