Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Nearly 12 tolas of gold jewellery were stolen from a house in the Satara area recently.

As per the complaint made by Nalini Pawan Kale ( Ayappa Temple area), painting and electrical work had been ongoing at her home since May first, with the respective workers visiting regularly. She noticed the keys to the safe were left on the safe itself on May 9. Wondering how the keys got there, she immediately opened the safe and found the jewellery missing.

She then questioned her daughter and nephew, as well as the labourers working at the house, but everyone claimed not to know the matter.

Nalini finally made a complaint at Satara Police Station recently, based on which a case was registered.

The stolen jewellery included a 5-tola gold ornament (pila), a 2-tola gold chain, a 4-gram gold ring, a 3-gram gold twisted chain, a 1-tola chain, a ring and a twisted chain and Half-kilogram silver coins.

Police Inspector Krishna Shinde informed that Sub-Inspector Jaysing Wagh is investigating the case.
