JIH demands to empower health services in rural sector

Aurangabad, May 18:

The Aurangabad unit of Jamate-Islami-Hind (JIH) today has submitted a memorandum to the chief minister urging him to empower health services and facilities in the government hospitals before the onset of the third wave of the Coronavirus. They mentioned that the poor patients deprived of quality health services in the government hospitals in the rural areas during the first wave and the second wave. As a result, they were forced to get treatment in private hospitals and it was unaffordable for them as the bill of each patient was around Rs 4 lakh!.

In a memorandum to submitted to the district collector, JIH office-bearers applauded the state government for their noteworthy work in the state during the past one and a half years. They underlined that the rural patients to obtain quality treatment and save their lives got admitted to the private hospitals. The charges were and are unaffordable for them. Hence the state government should provide quality treatment in the government hospitals and improve the health services.

JIH also demanded to fill up the vacant posts on priority, stock required medicines, oxygen and arrange for adequate ventilators. They also underlined to develop a dedicated hospital for children and provide pediatricians, ventilators, and oxygen in it. The delegation also stressed the need of speeding the vaccination drive, implementing the drive to the grass-root level, and simplify the online registration as illiterate persons, labourers and workers are left out of the vaccination.

The delegation comprises state president Rizwan-ur-Rehman Khan, city president Wajed Quadri, Abed Ali, Kazi Faizan, Quadri Abdul Hai, Shaikh Mukhtar, and others.
