Aurngabad, June 21:

The joint director of Higher Education (Jalgaon division) refused to implement the directives of Aurangabad bench of Bombay High Court about a pension case of a college teacher.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, the general secretary of Maharahstra Federation of University and College Teachers Organisation (MFUCTO) Dr S P Lavande said the High Court issued directives on February 9, 2021 to start the pension of a non-NET-SET teacher from Jalgaon within four months.

The joint director of Jalgaon division refused to implement the court directives through orders issued on May 12, 2021.

Dr Lavande demanded that the joint director should be suspended for showing disrespect to the court orders. Dr Umakant Rathod, Dilip Birute, Pradeep Mutkule, Prakash Walunj were present at the briefing.
