Aurangabad, March 21:

“A skilled electrical engineer can be created only by participating in various activities from national and international institutes and not just relying on book knowledge, said Pamu Srinivasa, director of National Power Training Institute, Kerala.

He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the two-day online international conference on ‘Electrical Systems and Technology (ICEST)- 2021 hosted jointly by Government Engineering College and Ujjain Engineering College (MP) on March 19 and 20.

The conference was held under the Government's Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP).

State nodal officer for TEQIP Dr Anil Nandgaonkar, Principal P B Murnal, organizing committee secretary Dr N R Bhasme, S S Dhamse, TEQIP coordinator of Ujjain College Dr Sunil Punjabi, Dr S M Shinde were present on the dais for the inaugural function.

During the first session, Jami Hassan, vice-president of the World Wind Energy Association- put his thoughts on ‘Energy Transition and Technology Convergence’. Dr Vinod Khadkikar presided over the ceremony.

In his keynote address in the afternoon session, Dr Maeve Duffy elaborated on the comparison of AC vs DC Distribution Systems for a 5 KW PV installation and Dr Bhasme coordinated the session.

Dr B N Chaudhari and Dr Anita Bhole oversaw the work session of the paper presentation.

On the concluding day, Director of Defence Research and Development Laboratory, Hyderabad and advisor of the Air Defence Program Dr N V Kadam guide on ‘Control Systems Design for Missiles-Challenges and Scope’. industrialist Prasad Kokil also spoke.

Anita Shinde, Dr N J Phadkule, P S Swami, S S Kulkarni and others worked for the conference's success.
