Literary support farmers agitation
Aurangabad, Dec 2:
From Mahatma Jyotiba Phule to Krantisinh Nana Patil have put forward the exploitation of farmers and consistently fought on this issue. Therefore, it is our duty to stand firmly behind the farmers who have gathered in Delhi for various demands, including the abolishment of new agri laws.
Writers including Rajan Gavas, Bhaskar Chandanshiv, Atul Deulgaonkar, Narayan Kulkarni Kavathekar, Asaram Lomte, Anand Wingkar, Pramod Munghate, Balaji Sutar, Surekha Dalvi, Aruna Sabane, through a statement said that, "Farmers in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan have united against the three new farm laws in Delhi. The government has inhumanely tried to crush the agitation of the farmers by using water cannons, tear gas and use of force. The Modi government passed these bills without considering the views of the farmers and without taking them into confidence. It is not only inhumane but also reprehensible to try to crush the agitation of the farmers forcefully. It is annoying that the farmers have not been able to communicate with the government for the last two-and-a-half months. The writers also demanded that the government should immediately communicate with the farmers.
